First Aid for Lightning Injuries

Description

  • Lightning victims do not carry an electrical charge and can be handled safely.
  • Call 911. Victims may be suffering from burns or shock and should receive medical attention immediately.
  • Provide first aid. If breathing has stopped administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Use an automatic external defibrillator (AED) if one is available
