Selection Criteria

Consider the following when selecting intramural activities for your program:

• Type of Activity: Is the activity low-contact or high-contact?
• Location of the Activity: Will the activity be done indoors or outdoors?
• Cohorting: Will students participate within their cohort or between cohorts?
• Physical Distancing: Can the indoor activity be done while maintaining physical distancing?
• Masking: Will masking be required?

Examples of Selection Criteria

Sports Games and Sport Imitations

3 on 3 basketball

Type of activity: High-Contact
Location: Outdoor
Cohorting: Between cohorts
Physical Distancing: Not maintained
Masking: Not Required
Consideration: If played indoors masking would be encouraged where they can be worn safely based on the activity.

Disc Golf

Type of activity: Low-Contact
Location: Outdoor
Cohorting: Between cohorts
Physical Distancing: Maintained
Masking: Not required
Consideration: N/A

Handball

Type of activity: High-Contact
Location: Indoor
Cohorting: Between cohorts
Physical Distancing: Not maintained
Masking: Encouraged
Consideration: Masks are encouraged where they can be worn safely based on the activity.

Clubs

Fitness/Weight Club

Type of activity: Low-Contact
Location: Indoor
Cohorting: Between cohorts
Physical Distancing: Maintained
Masking: Encouraged
Consideration: Spread out fitness/weight equipment to allow for students to maintain physical distancing.

Skiing (Nordic)

Type of activity: Low-Contact

Consideration: If transportation is required then additional COVID-19 considerations may be required.

Yoga/Pilates
