Intramural activities are defined as school-sponsored physical/recreation activities that occur outside the student's instructional time and are not competitions against outside teams/groups.
They may include sports games, low organized activities, special events, and/or clubs.
Examples of Intramural Activities by category:
- Sports Games - Scooter Soccer, Ultimate, Touch Football, '3-on-3" basketball
- Low Organized Activities - Cooperative Games
- Special Events - Gym Riots, Winter Carnivals, Theme Days, Jump Rope For Heart
- Clubs - Fitness Activities, Skiing, Dance, Running
Schools may offer intramural activities from the four categories as scheduled tournaments/leagues or as Drop-In Self-Directed Physical Activities (sometimes referred to as Open Gym).
